Licenciado por la Universidad de Córdoba en 2005, Dr. Juan Miguel Ramirez se trasladó al Reino Unido en 2008, donde realizó un junior training scholarship de un año en la Universidad de Cambridge.
En 2009 se trasladó a Bélgica para hacer su residencia de tres años en cirugía de pequeños animales en el Hospital de Pequeños Animales de la Universidad de Liège.
Tras haber terminado su residencia en 2012, dr. Juan Miguel Ramirez continuó de trabajar como profesor asistente en cirugía hasta que se unió al Centro de Referencia Veterinaria de Bahía de Málaga en 2013.
Obtuvo el diploma de Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Surgeons en febrero de 2017.
