Dr. Guillaume Ruiz joined the Highcroft Veterinary Referrals in Bristol in April 2018.

He graduated from the French Ecole Nationale Vétérinaire of Alfort in 2009. After graduation he completed a small animal internship at the same school, followed by 3 years as a clinician in the Internal Medicine Department and obtained a French Certificate of Advanced Practice in Small Animal Internal Medicine in 2014.

He then started a residency in small animal internal medicine at the University of Bristol. During these years he developed a special interest in endoscopy and published a few research papers in international scientific journals, particularly in gastroenterology, as well as regular articles in veterinary journals. He has also regularly presented his work at French, English and European congresses.

Dr. Guillaume Ruiz obtained the Diploma of the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine Companion Animals (ECVIM-CA) in March 2018, becoming Specialist in Internal Medicine for Small Animals.

He appreciates all aspects of internal medicine and has a particular interest in feline medicine and endoscopy, including minimally invasive techniques.
